H1B visa RFE – Request for Evidence

A RFE, also known as Request for Evidence, is an enquiry conducted by United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) from applicants in order to request additional evidence to make a decision regarding your H1B case. In case you have an outstanding RFE, you will either receive the request in your mail or check the online case status tool.

USCIS specifically mentions the reason for receiving H1B RFE in their letter. You get 90 days to submit the required documents from the moment you receive the RFE. Make sure to thoroughly answer in all of their enquiries.
