The Senior Coordinator, Corporate Relations and Membership, is responsible for managing and growing the corporate membership program and providing support for corporate relations, generating revenue of at least $800,000 to $1 million annually. In collaboration with the Associate Director, Corporate Relations, this position is responsible for pipeline building and acquisition, including identification, solicitation and cultivation of current and new corporate members. The Senior Coordinator provides exceptional customer service to corporate partners, ensures timely fulfillment of member benefits, and provides support for reporting and other stewardship of corporate partners. *Please submit application with a cover letter* SCHEDULE Monday - Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with the understanding the position may require evening hours per department events.
Participate in planning and execution of Corporate Appreciate Night, The Tide young professionals group events, and other related events.
Support management and recruitment strategies for The Tide young professionals group. Identify and leverage strategies to engage corporate partner participation in The Tide.
Support stewardship of corporate partners and special initiatives, including drafting of progress reports and proposals and ensuring appropriate partner recognition.
Update the Corporate Partner section of the New England Aquarium website. Ensure appropriate recognition of corporate members and appropriate use of member and Aquarium logos in promotional materials.
Meet annual targets for corporate partner contacts and Corporate Membership revenue.
Support other special projects and performs other position-related duties as assigned, including general administrative tasks such as coordinating mailings, to support Institutional Giving and Development Department goals.
Minimum Training and Experience
Requires a Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, management/business, or related field and 3 5 years of experience in marketing and/or advertising, customer relations and/or fundraising, or affinity groups or trade associations, preferably in a non-profit setting.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of best practices in customer/donor relations. Outstanding relationship and organizational skills required.
Marketing skills required.
Strong writing and research skills.
Excellent communication skills ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with potential and current funders and corporate members.
Must be able to work independently and to demonstrate creativity, flexibility and initiative.
Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across multiple teams in a complex organization.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, and Raiser's Edge and Luminate preferred.
Must be available for some evening and weekend events.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
Interest in ocean conservation preferred.
