You are a road warrior! and have a solid construction background. You are able to work outside of normal retail store hours; early mornings, nights, weekends & emergencies as needed. A significant amount of your time is spent outside of your home market based on business needs. You’re highly organized, hands-on, and a serious self-starter with good management skills and critical eye for detail. You can read blueprints, >
You’ve got a keen ability to read and understand blueprints, phasing plans and build schedules, and you can oversee multiple tradespersons performing scopes of work during low and high scope remodels, store refreshes and special projects determined by our clients. You’re able to attend pre-construction walkthroughs and meetings, as well as compose nightly summary reports detailing the day’s activities on active job sites. You’re a known road-warrior, and you love to travel, as much of the work is performed overnights. You are actively promoting our vendor partnerships and the company on site.
You’ll complete assessments to determine scope of work, labor requirements, materials needs and cost compilation (for cleaning and repairs, and confirm that our clients are happy when the work is completed. You’ve got some basic handyman skills including ability to repair tripping hazards, patch and paint, change ballasts, change ceiling tiles, replace floor tiles, install cocomats and/or make minor carpet repairs, basic hinge and cabinetry repair, and install laminate, and you have your own basic tools needed to do it. You’ll work as a supervisor or lead technician with other Global sub-contractors on jobs too large to be performed solely by the RFM, and you’ll perform quality assurance visits in other high volume, high frequency accounts. You’ll work closely with client managers and sub-contractors to guarantee quality work and efficient completion of projects.
You’ve got excellent customer service and management skills, and ideally, you’ve worked as a construction supervisor before. You can identify, recruit and train vendors and potential sub-contractors. You’ve got some administrative skills, namely with MS Word, MS Excel, Punch lists & Dropbox applications and the ability to learn company’s proprietary software. Of course, you’re comfortable with a wide range of equipment and tools and you’ve got a proficiency in skilled construction, maintenance and repair tasks. You’re a quick study, and you have the ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.TECHNICAL STUFF
