The Program Assistant for the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs will be responsible for the management of application files for program admission, admission action forms, administrative support of the doctoral program, will assist with management and maintenance of student files, and will be responsible for prospective student activities.Minimum Hiring Standards
Excellent computer skills specifically in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word) and the Google platform (Gmail, docs, sheets, forms etc.) Excellent written & verbal communication skills and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to identify work tasks, prioritize work tasks, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to deadlines. Excellent knowledge of file system organization; file creation, and file maintenance. Demonstrated ability to work independently with little supervision. Strong clerical/administrative experience desired. Demonstrated ability to organize data and produce summary reports. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work in a diverse work environment. Demonstrated ability to solve problems and use good judgment. Good organizational skills needed. Demonstrated ability to plan and manage recruiting events. Minimum two years of administrative experience.Preferred Hiring Standards
