The University of Maryland is seeking a dynamic IT professional to join the department of Procurement & Strategic Sourcing. The IT Procurement Coordinator will be responsible for information technology (IT) procurement from original requirement or business need identification through the procurement “cradle to grave” life cycle, including responsibility for procuring complex IT products and services. The procurement process consists of working with the University’s Division of IT and departments across campus – for RFPs, RFQs, IFBs solicitations and Sole/Single Source procurement.
The IT Procurement Coordinator position will support the day-to-day administration of contracts for IT hardware, software, consulting, training and other IT related purchases. The role requires participation in developing, reviewing and editing Statements of Work; negotiating contract terms and conditions; and performing pricing analyses. In addition, the role will be a liaison with campus departments for IT procurement needs and will support the Division of IT in ongoing, proactive planning of IT procurement to support the University’s IT Strategic Plan.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree is required.
Five (5) – seven (7) years of related experience including demonstrated specialization in supporting complex IT related procurement and contracts administration.Preferences:
