Job Objective: The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) grows and maintains relationships with small and medium-sized customers, while achieving an assigned sales and profit growth goal. Reporting to the Customer Care Manager, the ISR is expected to expand the firm’s share of customer purchases, drive new and existing product growth and maintain the account within assigned customers and with identified potential customers. The ISR has full oversight and impact on the customer experience through order management, sales engagement and activity. The focus for this position will support strategy for the Industrial, Military and Apparel segments.
The ISR is responsible for achieving an assigned sales and profitability goal.
Essential Job Functions:
Achieves/exceeds sales quota and profit targets as established by management.
Retains customer volume, sales and profitability through proactive tele-sales activity with assigned customer accounts in the small-and-medium sized segment.
Acquires new customers from an assigned geography and/or a set of named prospects through tele-sales activity.
Refers opportunities for growth in products and services to Account Managers as appropriate.
Leads all aspects of the sales process, while calling upon other company sales resources to assist in solution development, proposal delivery and implementation, as needed or as directed by management.
Sells the complete offering of company products and services to assigned and prospected opportunities.
Ensures a seamless transition of customer responsibility to the Account Manager when sales volumes warrant it.
Manages quote creation and day-to-day customer requests
Enter sales orders into sales system
Maintain customer data in CRM system
Assist other sales and services resources when called upon by the Sales Manager.
Achieves assigned sales quota.
Meets assigned expectations for profitability.
Achieves new account acquisition targets.
Completes any required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame.
Enlists the support of Engineering, ITC, Operations and other sales and management resources as needed.
Responsible to ensure customer satisfaction and service resolution objectives are met.
This position does not require travel.
3-5 years of sales experience
Four-year college degree from an accredited institution preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Passion for selling and customer service
Highly motivated and results oriented
Self-starter with a high degree of initiative
Strong sense of urgency and comfortable multi-tasking
Detail oriented with strong follow up skills
Strong communication, organization and time management skills.
Telesales experience preferred
Proficiency in MS Office suite of software
CRM Software proficiency.
