Embedded Software Engineer II
Design, develop, verify and validate software systems & embedded firmware for airborne fuel systems products

LMS is known for its proprietary, electro-mechanical products that operate using embedded software. Our designs are customer- and platform-unique, and undergo rigorous qualification and certification before entering production.
The Software Engineer will be responsible for development and documentation of high & low level requirements, design of software systems, embedded firmware programming, product life-cycle support, and documentation of fuel systems products, using an approved FAA and/or MIL-STD process, for commercial and military fuel management and fuel quantity gauging systems.
Application areas include digital signal processing and data distribution. Duties may include: software documentation, design simulations; unit/board level test verification and validation; engineering analysis; systems integration support; and system design and test documentation. The Software Engineer shall be familiar with aviation communication protocols (including ARINC), and military and commercial standards concerning airborne systems design and equipment certification. The Software Engineer will understand the DO-178 certification processes, as well as the different type certificates that are issued by certifying authorities to signify the airworthiness of an aircraft manufacturing design.
SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE:
Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Computer Science.
Experience: 3-5 years as a software engineer in the aerospace industry.
Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
