Business Development Administrative Assistant

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Business Development Administrative Assistant is responsible for administrating real estate closings, livestock site permitting, construction process management, ag real estate management, entity filings, and all administrative duties related to the business development department.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Real Estate Transactions

  • Facilitate the closing of multiple real estate transactions and mortgages at one time
  • Work with lenders, brokers, attorneys, insurance agents, landowners, tenants and others to facilitate a smooth closing process
  • Communicate timely and effectively through the process of closing, reviewing in detail all closing documents prepared internally or by third parties
  • Livestock Site and Ag Real Estate Development

  • Maintain and further develop the property database and reports
  • Assist in being the developer of choice for the livestock integrators, land owners, and developers that we partner with
  • Support the development team with communication and documentation associated with permitting, constructing, and operating livestock sites and developing ag real estate
  • Entity Filings

  • Maintain compliance with state agencies where we do business.
  • File documents as needed with the Secretary of State or associated departments and maintain rec
  • Administration

  • Assist with operations administrative functions as needed and available
  • Contribute to the development of Summit Farms and associated entities,
  • Manage special projects as needed
  • Additional responsibilities will include answering calls, coordinating calendars and contacts, and communicating with interested parties for the business development team.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Strong decision making skills with the ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems
  • Ability to effectively manage one’s own time and the time of others in a fast paced environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Self starter who is detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a high pressure environment
  • Experience that demonstrates ability to follow a budget
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as legal descriptions, easements and contracts
  • Experiences similar or compatible with a paralegal
  • Ability to write routine correspondence such as professional letters, reports, memos, or emails
  • Ability to calculate figures, percentages, utilize basic concepts of algebra to recognize discrepancies
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to operate with a high level of confidentiality
  • Highly detail oriented
  • Job Type: Full-time

    Experience:

  • Real Estate: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Administrative Assistant: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Paralegal: 3 years (Required)
